Ibiza Covid Restrictions: What you can and can’t do right now
From Saturday 10th of April Ibiza moved to health care Level 2 due to the decline in the number of cases on the island. While authorities change most Ibiza Covid restrictions, they will not alter the ones for restaurants, keeping them unchanged for at least two weeks.
Below you will find answers to all the most important questions about moving around the island and planning your free time. What actions are permissible, which activities are allowed, and what are the options and prerequisites for safely and peacefully navigating the island of Ibiza?
Ibiza Covid Restrictions: From 10.04.2021
Movement
- It is advisable for you to go out alone for work, school, medical center visits, or other essential purposes.
- Curfew from 10 PM to 6 AM.
- It is advisable to stay at home from 20:00.
Public Transport
Buses with limited capacity. People at risk should not use public transport.
Bars and Restaurants
Bars and restaurants may open their terraces to 50% of their capacity. They must close at 5 pm and the tables may have a maximum of four people from two coexistence centers.
Leisure
- Cultural shows go to 50% capacity, as long as the public is seated.
- You can eat and drink in cinemas when the audience is limited to 40%.
- Beaches and parks open from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm.
- Smoking is allowed in areas where individuals can maintain a secure distance of 2m. This still precludes smoking in restaurants and bar terraces.
Religion
- Places of worship with a maximum of 50% of its capacity.
Politics
- In the congresses, there may be a maximum of 100 participants outdoors and 75 indoors.
Shops & Stores
- Commerce and large stores at 75% of their capacity.
- All stores must close at 8:00 PM, except for gas stations, grocery or staple stores, and hairdressing salons.
Sports & Activities
- Outdoor sports activities are limited to 10 people, always without contact. Including excursions.
- Cultural shows operate at 50% capacity, provided that the audience is seated.
- Gyms will be able to teach low-intensity classes inside with up to 10 people and with 6 if they are high intensity. Mask must be worn.
- State-level sports competitions permit the public to enter at 50% of their capacity. 200 attendees in indoor facilities and 400 outdoors.
- Excursions of 10 people in the open air. With a mask.
- Dance academies allow a maximum of 10 people.
Social Health Centers Visits
Visits to social health centers can always take place under the supervision of the center staff. The authorities have lifted the one-person restriction for one hour per day.
From 12.04.2021:
- The authorities have lifted the imposed closure on Easter.
- You can hold social and family gatherings with a maximum of six people (two coexisting households).
Penalties and Sanctions:
- The fine for not having a mask is 100 euros.
- Meetings with non-partners can result in heavy fines ranging from € 3001 to € 60,000.
Exceptions:
Single people may join another family. Minors can also meet their parents, in the case of separated parents, as well as couples living in different houses. Guardians of minors, elderly or dependent persons, and disabled or vulnerable persons are also exempt from this restriction.
- Injuries, such as non-observance of indicators or failure to provide information on timetables, social distances, masks, etc., by companies, can be subject to penalties considered to be serious, ranging from 3001 to 60,000 euros.
- Engaging in organizing, marketing, or participating in meetings, events, or crowded gatherings beyond capacity limits is a highly punishable offense, with fines ranging from €60,001 to €600,000.
