Migrants Intercepted in Formentera: 55 Arrive Within 24 Hours
The Guardia Civil has intercepted 55 migrants in Formentera over a 24-hour period, highlighting ongoing migration challenges in the region.
First Group Found at Punta Roja
On Sunday at 4:30 pm, the Guardia Civil located a group of 20 migrants in the Punta Roja area. The Maritime Service of the Guardia Civil and Salvamento Marítimo participated in the rescue. The Citizen Security Unit and a Guardia Civil helicopter also assisted in the operation.
Second Boat Discovered an Hour Later
Just an hour later, at 5:20 pm, a second boat carrying 22 migrants was found in the same vicinity. Authorities swiftly ensured they brought all migrants intercepted in Formentera to safety.
Third Group Intercepted at La Mola
On Monday at 5:30 am, the Maritime Service and local agents intercepted 13 more migrants on land in the La Mola area. This marks the third group of migrants intercepted in Formentera within a single day.

All Migrants in Good Health
All the migrants are of Maghreb origin and are reported to be in good health, according to the Delegation of the Government. Authorities are processing them according to established protocols.
