Incident Details
Around 8:20 p.m. on Sunday, a National Police patrol in Ibiza responded to reports of a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds. Emergency services promptly transported the woman to Can Misses Hospital, where she was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. Despite the severity of her injuries, medical staff have reported that her life is not in danger.

Following the assault, multiple police units proceeded to the family home. They found the door locked but heard a child crying inside. After persuading the child to open the door, officers entered and discovered the body of the alleged attacker, who had died by suicide.
The Family and Women’s Unit (UFAM) of the National Police has taken over the investigation. Preliminary findings indicate there were no prior reports of domestic abuse, and the couple had separated a month earlier.
