If you’re planning on living alone in Ibiza during the summer season, be prepared to pay a pretty penny.
The cost of living has risen in all aspects, from groceries and haircuts to rental prices, making it almost impossible for a single person to afford to live alone, especially during the summer months.
Rental Prices in Ibiza
When searching for a one-bedroom apartment on popular websites like Idealista, it’s difficult to find year-round rental options for a single person. Additionally, prices are sky-high, with the average cost of living in a one-bedroom house being €2,800 per month. Even finding a rental for just the summer months can be incredibly expensive.
Minimum Rental Prices
The minimum price for a single-person room in a one-bedroom apartment on Idealista during summer in Ibiza is €1,200 for a 45-square-meter apartment in Cala Tarida, with residency from April 1st to October 31st. However, to secure the apartment, you’ll need to pay three months’ rent in advance, which includes the rental fee, deposit, and agency fee, totaling €3,600.
Other Areas
In Platja d’en Bossa, one-bedroom apartments can be found for around €1,000. Idealista has a 64-square-meter studio available for €1,500, but you’ll need to pay eight months’ rent in advance, meaning you’ll have to shell out €12,000 upfront.
In Sant Antonio, the municipality of Ibiza with the lowest rental prices, Idealista has a 45-square-meter apartment available for €1,400 per month, and another for 55 square meters at €1,500 per month.
In Sant Carlos, you may be able to find a one-bedroom apartment for a minimum price of €2,000 for 65 square meters. In the Siesta urbanization in Santa Eulària, one-bedroom apartments also cost around €2,000.
Expensive Areas
In Ibiza City, the cost of a one-bedroom apartment is exorbitant, making it unaffordable for a single person to rent. In the La Marina district, a 65-square-meter apartment rents for €3,500 per month, while in Vara de Rey, a 48-square-meter apartment costs €3,000 per month.
In Figueretas, rental prices also hover around €3,500 per month during the summer season. A one-bedroom, 63-square-meter apartment is available for rent at this price. You’ll need to pay three months’ rent in advance, totaling €10,500, to move in.
Marina Botafoch has the highest rental prices for one-bedroom apartments during the summer season. Idealista has a 67-square-meter apartment available for €4,500 per month. However, there are other more affordable options in the area, such as an 89-square-meter apartment for €3,333 per month.
