Ibiza in April 2023: A Month Full of Cultural, Culinary and Sporting Activities
Ibiza has a lot to offer visitors in April 2023. With a wide range of events, including sporting, cultural, and culinary activities, as well as new restaurant and beach club openings, the White Island is the place to be this spring. From marathons to food festivals, beach parties to sailing regattas, there is something for everyone on Ibiza this April.
Sporting Activities
April is a great month for sports enthusiasts on the island. The Ibiza Marathon, which boasts a sunset finish by the sea, is one of the year’s sporting highlights on Ibiza, with 12 km, 20 km, and 42 km races open to runners of all levels. La Ruta de la Sal, one of Spain’s most popular offshore sailing regattas, sees boats departing from two departure points on the mainland: Barcelona and Denia. The Vuelta a Ibiza MTB Scott by Shimano, a demanding mountain bike trial event divided into three phases, promises to be an outstanding event for fans of MTB and onlookers alike. The II Triathlon of Senses @Six Senses Ibiza, held at the glamorous Six Senses Ibiza, is a true mental and physical challenge, with three distances, Olympic, Sprint and Supersprint, and includes Junior, U23, and Age Group categories.
Cultural Activities
Ibiza also offers plenty of cultural activities in April. La Movida (photo), a must-visit event for lovers of 80s and 90s music, returns to its usual venue, s’Arenal beach in San Antonio, promising a night of stellar performances, exotic costumes, and top tunes whilst dancing on the beach, retro style! The All Round Trail 2023, held on Ibiza’s beautiful sister island, Formentera, is definitely one for both running enthusiasts and spectators! The Ibiza Half Marathon takes in some spectacular scenery along the island’s south coast, incorporating some of the island’s most picturesque and iconic spots.
Culinary Activities
Ibiza is known for its culinary scene, and April is no exception. San Antonio’s much-loved Pintxa food festival, which features around 20 local culinary hotspots, is a must-visit for food lovers. The festival provides top-notch food at affordable prices, offering the chance to socialise with friends and meet new people.
Ibiza in April – Other Activities
Ibiza also has other activities for visitors to enjoy. The Nordic walking excursions, organised by San Antonio Town Hall and San José municipality, offer the chance to exercise and appreciate Ibiza’s natural beauty before the arrival of the summer heat. The Vuelta a Formentera BTT, a two-stage, 72 km trail biking event celebrating its eighth edition, is a non-federated race open to all-comers. The Diario de Ibiza Golf Tournament, open to players of all handicaps, includes prizes for a range of categories and even comes with welcome packs for all players, cocktails, special prizes, and a raffle.
