Heavy storms accompanied by strong winds disrupted several flights, leading to a slew of cancellations and diversions, impacting countless travellers’ plans.

Aena, the official body overseeing airport operations in Spain, provided an extensive report on the disruptions:
- Ibiza Airport:
- Diversions: With flights canceled in Ibiza due to the weather, eight flights that were scheduled to land in Ibiza were redirected to other airports.
- Cancellations: In total, 27 flights were canceled in Ibiza, encompassing 13 arrivals and 14 departures.
- Palma Airport:
- Diversions: 18 flights meant for Palma had to divert their routes due to similar weather adversities.
- Cancellations: At Palma, 56 flights saw abrupt cancellations, with 27 at the origin and 29 in the Balearic capital.
- Menorca Airport:
- Diversions: Three flights got diverted, further highlighting the storm’s impact.
- Cancellations: Seven flights were cancelled in Menorca on that chaotic Sunday.
On the whole, while the airports had planned around 1,455 flights on the concluding Sunday of August, the turbulent weather resulted in numerous flights canceled in Ibiza and its sister islands.

- Menorca: Recorded 17 incidents, with Ibiza registering 8.
Most of these incidents ranged from falling trees, landslides, to road obstructions. With the magnitude of disturbances, the emergency number 112 prompted the public to be vigilant and cautious to prevent injuries
